what is Talentology's story

“Trevor, What’s Talentology’s story? Why are you so passionate about IT job seekers & IT SMEs?”


I get asked this a lot. I also get asked "Why are you so vocal and determined to shake up the IT recruitment industry? Why are you so passionate about helping IT job seekers and IT SMEs?"


The truth? I’ve seen too many good people struggle in a system that works against them. And I refuse to accept it.


That's why we've become advocate for the people - the IT job seekers and the IT SME business leaders.


After 28 years in IT recruitment, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen:


❌ Brilliant IT professionals ignored due to age bias.


❌ Job seekers ghosted by recruiters who disappear after an interview.


❌ Contractors finishing a project with no clear next step.


❌ IT SMEs losing out to big consulting firms, even when they offer better value.


That’s why I started Talentology - to challenge the system to support IT job seekers to be successful, and help IT SMEs compete on a level playing field.

We believe that the only way IT recruitment can improve is by holding it accountable by calling out bad behaviour and poor practices.


We all want to be treated with respect - whether in a job, between contracts or looking for our next role.
